San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants enlisted Company B to lead the charge for their first Milwaukee property, The Journeyman. The first hotel in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, the 158-room property posed a unique opportunity to celebrate a new brand in the community as well as a tried and true brand nationwide.
As a part of our PR story about urban exploring, we worked with a local leather artisan to design custom backpacks (complete with city itineraries) available in all suites and at the front desk for check out. We sent 15 of the bags filled with Milwaukee brands to top travel writers across the country.
For the hotel’s official opening Company B hosted a press conference with hotel and local officials alike cutting a ribbon of hops and tapping a ceremonial keg of local beer to celebrate their first day in Brew City.
The coming out parties included hosting a few local influencers who blew up local social media with their exclusive opening-night stay and we also helped throw the hottest party of the summer complete with a rooftop band and custom passports to guide guests’ journey around the hotel.
